Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I learned more from this than all the googling I have been doing. I am on my feet at work for 8-10hrs a day and barely sit down once I’;m home. My feet, ankles and calves are getting very swollen. The spider veins have already popped up too. This is my first pregnancy and I’;m 25 weeks. I really hope trying compression stockings will give me relief. Thank you again!!

Hello, so for both of my pregnancy’;s I wore compression stockingscustomized gifts, both times prescribed by a doctor because I had issues with vericose veins. They were a pain to put on but if I wouldn’;t have there was the possibility my veins could have popped. I am pregnant again and about to go though that again. Wish me Luck.

Thanks for posting about the compression amount. I was on the fence about which one I should get the 15_20 or 20-30.

You post helped a lot.

Thank you for posting this, I was a little overwhelmed. Also, it may just be my tablet, but the Pinterest button won’;t work. I tried the Facebook button and it worked. I’;d really like to post this to my maternity board on Pinterest. Thanks again!

Well put! Thanks for the info! I had to use them with my last pregnancy, and it now I’;m needing them for this pregnancy as well. Unfortunately, for me, I have swelling from my knee down to my toes, and varicose veins in my upper thigh, so full length is what I have to wrestle into…;which totally sucks. But as you said, the relief is worth it. Funny that my ob didn’;t have much to say on the topic. Glad there’;s other mommas to share their experiences!

Your article and especially the orgasmic face (!) pushed me to go to my drugstore and get some compression socks. At a bit past 36 weeks pregnant, I was miserable! Oh my god, the difference and I felt it so quickly! I’;ve been wearing them for a few week now and the swelling is almost gone. It makes everything SO much easier. Thank you :-)

I have major insurance complications I’;ve been working on fixing for 6 months now. I’;m ONLY ELLEVEN weeks pregnant have NO BUMP YET and have MASSIVE amounts of small various veins ALLL OVER MY LOWER HALF OF MY BACK Im pretty sure I need the whole length stockings, and a 20-30mmgh …;. I’;m going to the ER on Friday to get an ultrasound (technically uninsured) and if I can get a prescription for the 20-30mmgh, will not be able to just pick them up at a pharmacy…;. any pharmacy. IF I HAVE CASH AND THE UNINSURABLE PERSCRIPTION WILL THEY SELL ME THE STOCKINGS???? AND IF SO ABOUT WHAT DOES A PAIR COST???

yes I definitely agree! Im working in an hospital here in Singapore and I started using compression stockings on my 1st trimester. Its a thigh high kind of compression stockings that I bought in Philippines. I was soo relief from an 8hour- duty standing and seldom sitting. Im on my 6th month of pregnancy today and still using it whenever I go to work and it feels good till I go home. =)

Is there a brand that worked well for you? I ordered a pair a couple of months ago and it rolls down my thigh cutting of circulation.

This article was JUST what I needed! I have wanted to get compression stockings for a LONG time —; even before pregnancy as I am on my feet 24/7 —; I just didn’;t know what kind/where to begin. This explained it perfectly. I asked the doctor (OB!) and she didn’;t know! I don’;t have any problems yet. Trying to keep it that way! Thanks!!!

Thanks for the very informative article. I wear the Thigh High Compression stockings to work every day and I love them. I’;m on my feet most of the time at work and my feet swell so bad now that I’;m towards the end of my pregnancy. I didn’;t want to have to wear full-length stocking anymore.

I love wearing the Knee-high compression stockings under my pants because they provide great relief to the swelling in my calf and ankle. My feet don’;t hurt as much as they used to. Great article!
